Aviv Shapira is the CEO and co-founder of XTEND, a trailblazing company that is redefining human-machine interaction through advanced drone technology. Aviv’s vision has empowered human operators to remotely interact with complex environments, making drone usage safer, more efficient, and widely accessible.

Before founding XTEND, Aviv made a significant mark in the sports-tech industry as the co-founder of Replay Technologies. Replay’s innovative volumetric video format, known as "FreeD," allowed viewers to experience sports from any angle, fundamentally changing the way fans engage with live events. The technology was used at major sports venues around the globe and earned widespread acclaim, including two Emmy Awards for best broadcasting technology in 2013 and 2015. Replay Technologies was later acquired by Intel in 2016 for $200M, where it became a core component of Intel’s sports innovation initiatives.

An Aerospace Engineer with a specialization in Rocket Propulsion, Aviv’s career began early. At the age of 10, he launched several small business ventures and has since founded four startups, two of which were successfully acquired. His entrepreneurial spirit and deep technical expertise have consistently led him to transform innovative concepts into commercially successful ventures.
